THE BANK of Oakley, Kansas opened for business on January 2, 1989 after a change in state banking laws allowed the Farmers State Bank of Winona to move it's charter to Oakley and simultaneously branch back to Winona. Senior Vice President Lynn Marcy is the manager of THE BANK of Oakley, and has been there since the office was opened. Lynn started banking in Leoti, Kansas and then became the manager of the Farmers State Bank of Winona in 1985 before moving to Oakley in 1989. In 1997, THE BANK of Oakley became a branch of THE BANK of Oberlin. Today we are "THE BANK of northwest Kansas", with the same management and ownership since our inception in 1989.
